I am Mike Jupp G1HWY welcome to my website.
This page is about my interest in Amateur Radio.
I am active on VHF and the HF bands.
Rigs are Icom IC706MK2G, Elecraft K2 #3833, MFJ 9406 and a Spectrum 70MHz transvertor.
Antenna for VHF is a Create Log Periodic.
Antenna for HF is a CobWebb multiband dipole.
QSL is ok direct (QRZ) and via eQSL.

My other interest is with weather satellites.
I have a EUMETCAST system and receive METOP-A, MSG and NOAA AVHRR data via EUROBIRD 9.

Now have my Davis Vantage Pro Plus weather station hooked up to the internet.
It is set to refresh the website data every 15 minutes and should be online 24hours a day.
Please do not rely on the weather information for scientific purposes,
although it should give a fair indication of the weather here in Steyning.
The station has all the usual sensors including sunshine and UV capability.
The station also produces NOAA daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.
